BYD VR Experience
Large-scale VR experience developed for BYD during the Feria Nacional de San Marcos, allowing visitors to explore and learn about the brand's electric truck through 20 synchronized standalone headsets with centralized session control.

THE IDEA
Create an immersive virtual reality experience where visitors could explore, interact with, and learn about a BYD electric truck in a visually engaging digital environment during one of Mexico's largest public fairs.
CHALLENGE
Develop a reliable event-ready installation capable of operating across 20 standalone VR headsets simultaneously. The system needed to provide centralized session control, stable local network communication, rapid visitor turnover, high visual quality, post-processing effects, and a consistently high refresh rate during continuous public use.
TECHNICAL APPROACH
Developed and optimized the complete VR application in Unity for Meta Quest headsets, combining interactive vehicle visualization, real-time shaders, visual effects, lighting, and performance-conscious post-processing. A custom local server and centralized management application communicated with every headset through a dedicated LAN, allowing operators to start, stop, reset, or remotely exit the experience on all devices simultaneously. Automatic reconnection and device-status monitoring were implemented to maintain reliable operation throughout the event.
OUTCOME
Successfully deployed the experience at the Feria Nacional de San Marcos with 20 VR headsets running simultaneously. The system maintained synchronized session management, stable communication, a high refresh rate, and polished visual quality during continuous operation, providing visitors with an interactive and memorable introduction to BYD's electric truck.
